New Recipe! My First Time Making Pancakes and They Were Great

Ever since I got home from service and discovered Food Network, I haven’t been able to stop watching and scribbling. I take down recipes all the time for meals I’d like to try out someday.
A few days ago I started craving pancakes. This is something I think is very simple, but unfortunately I haven’t tried whipping up a batch. I made up my mind to try it and I did. Before that, lemme say a little something about myself. When I’m in the mood to do anything, I like to be WELL prepared… I gathered together as many pancake recipes as I could lay my hands on. I got three from my ‘Must-Have Recipes‘ app, thanks to Google play store, and I made my sister search for a simple recipe and text to me. To cut a long story short, I made my first batch of pancakes and they were not bad at all… They were awesome! (if I dare say so myself)

This is my own recipe

1 small cup of flour
1  full tbs of sugar
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1 tbs of margarine to be melted
1 lightly beaten egg
1 cup of milk in water (Assuming you are using powdered like me)

Mix in your dry ingredients. Flour, sugar, salt and sugar. In a separate bowl, beat your egg with a fork till it’s even and add in your milk-in-water mixture and mix nicely. When it is nice and smooth add the melted margarine and in turn add that to your dry mix. The consistency of the batter should be like a thick soup.
Heat your pan and put in one serving spoon-full of the mixture, after dropping some oil (coconut, olive or regular groundnut/vegetable oil) in the pan, and allow to cook for like two minutes then use a spatula and turn it over. The level of heat depends on how long you will let it cook, but in the end you will have warm pancakes to enjoy with store-bought syrup or a  homemade fruit syrup.
